Concert order

Aurora Symphony concert information is up for this Saturday. Children’s concerts are at 11:00am and 2:00pm at the Gateway Performing Arts Center. Admission is free for the 11:00 and 2:00 concerts..

Channel 8 will be at the 2:00 performance for taping. There is a children’s play happening (and something with singers) at some point in the concert, but since it has no trumpet in it I have no idea on the details. And, quite possibly, because I’m an idiot.

The evening concert is at 7:00pm and is the orchestra’s Masterworks concert. Repetoire for that concert:

“Chester” from New England Triptych
Barber Violin Concerto
Dvorak Symphony #9 (the “New World” Symphony)

I have a limited supply of half-price comps for the evening - let me know. There - with such a wide variety of choices, there has to be one that you can make! Even with kids. Hint.

    Okay, but is it safe to take children to the Masterworks concert too? You know, because of your past enthusiasm and all. Just kidding. John will take a half price ticket. I’ll take the chiddlers to a daytime one when everyone else is helping move you-know-who.
