Rich, it's gonna get ugly. When I saw that the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) were planning all kinds of disruptions in Minneapolis, flashbacks to the 60's hit me. It was a bunch of crap then and remains so today. The SDS is no lover of America and its Constitution. Ugh--here we go all over again. Thanks for posting this info and linking to El Presidente for the details. This is why we are told to pray without ceasing. People will probably be hurt needlessly by these radicals. I thought there were laws that no one can disrupt anyone else from attending a political event--we have a Constitutional Right to assemble.

Forgot to mention.....As a Republican, I have no intention of being anywhere near downtown Denver in August; however, I have always wanted to attend a Republican convention....now I am not so sure.

My brother works downtown...and even those with legit business (i.e. those who contribute to the local economy year in and year out) might not even be able to go downtown during the convention. His firm has talked to their Boston branch and was informed that it's pretty much useless to even try to come in...all the public transportation is co-opted, no parking, etc., etc.

Me, I'm thinking I'll be busy in my fabulous new garden during August, planning school, and hoping to squeak by without being bothered by the whole thing too much.
